FLEUR BROWNFLEUR BROWN - DIRECTOR

Fleur Brown is Founder and Director of Launch Group. 

She has a depth of experience across a range of communications fields including: Media Relations, Public Affairs, Journalism, Advertising, Corporate Marketing and Issues Management.

Fleur has worked for agencies and large private and public sector corporations within Australia, the United States and New Zealand. Her corporate experience includes six years as Public Affairs Director for the City of Sydney where she was responsible for the City's Publicity and Marketing, as well as managing Tourism in the lead up to the 2000 Olympic Games.

Following her role with the City, Fleur moved to the Seven Network, where she managed the company's corporate communications - a national role reporting directly to CEO, and serving regularly as the company's spokesperson.

Fleur has worked as an Advertising Account Executive and copywriter, and as a public relations consultant - managing Blue Chip corporate clients within both Australia and New Zealand. She has also worked in marketing and public relations for the financial sector, and is an experienced media trainer and lecturer in Public Relations.  She currently lectures in New Media and Public Relations at Think Education's APM Business College in Sydney.  Fleur has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications.


DR ROSS HOWDEN - GENERAL MANAGER, LAUNCH GROUP 
DIRECTOR, SCREENLAUNCH

Dr Ross Howden is General Manager of Launch Group and founder and Director of subsidiary business, ScreenLaunch.

Screen Launch is a sales, distribution and marketing company for innovative digital screen content. In the two roles, Ross has a focus on developing the digital and social media services offered to clients.

Prior to establishing ScreenLaunch in 2010, Ross spent fifteen years in the entertainment industry as a film producer, sales representative and entertainment technologist. Ross has worked inhouse for Baz Luhrmann's Bazmark production studios, BBC, Australian Broadcasting Corporation and FOXTEL. He trained as a producer at the Australian Film Television and Radio School and has produced two feature films and numerous short films. Ross also has significant experience in online video, and was a founding player in the video streaming area in Australia.

   CAMILLE ALARCON - ACCOUNT MANAGER

Camille Alarcon has been a journalist for close to a decade. She has most recently worked as deputy editor for media and marketing website Mumbrella.com.au. Prior to that role she worked in the UK for two years as a senior news reporter at Centaur Media’s Marketing Week magazine and website. Camille has been writing about the media, marketing and advertising sectors for over six and a half years, starting at B&T magazine as the media writer in 2002. In 2006, she was promoted to the role of news editor where she led a staff of four news journalists.

Camille has a BA Communications (Journalism), Charles Sturt University, Bathurst. In her final year of study she worked as a cadet journalist for National Radio News, the national radio news service that broadcast to over 65 community radio stations across the country.

In other previous experience, she has worked as a program producer for Macquarie Radio Network’s talk back station 2GB, and as a journalist for independent publisher Retail Media’s Retail Pharmacy magazine.


  SARAH JANE WILLIAMS - SENIOR CONSULTANT

Sarah Jane joined the Launch team as a senior consultant in 2011. Sarah Jane provides strategic media relations services across the Group's corporate client base, with a focus on the business-to-business and financial briefs.

Prior to joining Launch, Sarah Jane worked as a communications consultant for Australian Public Affairs, (APA), a strategic communications, public relations and public affairs firm. In her role at APA, Sarah Jane focused on strategy projects and campaigns for corporate, government and consumer clients. This work included: market positioning; brand development; consumer relations; corporate presentation and reputation; and competition inquiry. She provided analysis and advice in industries as diverse as: alternative energy; financial regulation; telecommunications; digital copyright; foreign affairs; education; and food retail.

Sarah Jane has a Bachelor of Social Science (BSocSci) from the University of New South Wales, with majors in Politics and Social Theory.
 

  CLEMENTINE STUART-RUSSELL - CONSULTANT

Clementine Stuart-Russell joined Launch Group in 2009. Clementine provides media and strategic relations across Launch’s corporate, consumer, not-for-profit and digital clients. A qualified web designer and digital major she also assists with the development, implementation and execution of new media strategies.

During the past four years, Clementine has worked with clients in the entertainment, lifestyle, not-for-profit, business, digital, youth, real estate and confectionary sectors. Prior to joining Launch Group, Clementine worked with the Online Investment newsletter, The Intelligent Investor where she assisted in co-ordinating National conferences and online media exposure for the internet based business. She also worked with the Rugby Union Players Association (RUPA ) to launch the RUPA foundation and assisted in the media exposure of Darrell Lea chocolate’s 80th Birthday party.

Clementine has a Bachelor of Arts/Media and Communications from the University of New South Wales.
 


  ANNABELLE PAGE - CONSULTANT

Annabelle Page assists with client strategy, program implementation and media relations across Launch’s consumer, corporate and not-for-profit clients. Prior to joining Launch Group, Annabelle worked in events, with roles including assisting with media and talent management for the 2009 Inside Film Awards. Her previous work at Mark Communications saw her cover clients in the lifestyle, entertainment and fashion sectors including Jenny Craig, the IMAX Theatre, Lili, Lorna Jane, Hollywood Fashion Tape, and Surf Life Saving NSW.

Annabelle has a Bachelor of Arts (Communication - Public Relations and Organisational Communication) from Charles Sturt University.
 

  JULES SHIELLS - CONSULTANT

Jules Shiells joined Launch as a consultant in April 2011. Jules is a trained journalist with a passion for all forms of business and creative writing. Her Public Relations experience includes work with The Walkley Foundation on the Young Australian Journalist of the Year Awards, the Press Freedom Media Dinner, and Student Industry Days. A communications all-rounder, Jules provides PR consultancy and marketing communications services to clients across the Launch Group team. Jules previous business experience includes working for Australia Post, Flexirent, Lloyds and Pizza Hut. Originally hailing from Edinburgh, she studied in Glasgow and has travelled and worked in Europe, the United States and Australia.

Jules has an MA Hons in Art History and is in her final year of a communications degree with APM College in Sydney.



HANNAH ANDERSSON - CONSULTANT

Hannah Andersson joined the Launch Group team as a consultant in July 2011. A communication all-rounder, Hannah has expertise across marketing, communication, and events. Prior to joining Launch Group, Hannah worked in fashion PR and events working with agencies including
LARAInc, Alias Creative and A Company. Her events experience includes working with Future Entertainment to assist with the Future Music
Festival.

Hannah has an Advanced Diploma of Marketing and is in her final year of a Marketing and Communication degree with APM College Sydney.
 

BETH POWELL - TRAINING

BETH POWELL Beth has worked in the private sector, for government and non-government organisations, and as a trainer and educator in the fields of marketing, sponsorship and public relations. Her career experience includes a role as Director of Major Events for the City of Sydney, responsible for the New Years Eve Celebrations and the City's participation in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Press Secretary for Sydney Lord Mayor, Media Manager for Greenpeace Australia, Executive Director NSW Olympic Council and, Corporate Communications Manager within the resources sector. Within these roles Beth has been responsible for marketing, sponsorship, fundraising, and grant writing and grant giving. Beth is a lecturer at APM Training Institute.
